Welcome to the second edition of the unbelievable and now infamous Nashua Mobile Ladies MTB Day. 2010 proved to be a huge success with over 400 intrepid lady mountain bikers and a few “boys” taking part and 2011 promises to be even better.
So, kick off those stilettos gals and start exercising those glutes!! Here’s an exercise option with a difference – a mountain biking event designed specifically for the fairer sex – a day in fact dedicated to the ladies. For once it’s the dads that have to look after the kiddies and the moms and girlfriends who can have some fun.

Sound too good to be true? Read on ---- Imagine a day where you can ride a moderate 25km or 40km ride – a day designed for riders of all abilities. No impossible hills and jaw breaking roughs – but enough good riding to challenge yourself and stretch those limits.

Just to make sure you are on track, there will be a group of skilled marshals on standby to offer you tips and advice to ensure you have one of your best rides ever.

If you’re single enjoy the day with your girlfriends. If you have a significant other this does not mean he needs to stay at home! Far from it – for once he’s at the finishing line cheering you on, but before that he’s the one egging the kids on during a specially organised kiddies MTB ride.

The kiddies can then run off to the kiddies’ playground where James the Clown will be on hand to ensure they are well taken care of.

The obligatory beer tent will be set up to reward his efforts and keep him out of your hair while you enjoy a glass of bubbly, a scrumptiously healthy ladies lunch (no fatty braai wors today) and all day massages compliments of Honda and Mangwanani Spa.
Plus we will have loads of prizes up for grabs, including Samsung Galaxy Tabs and a Trek Bike valued at over R15 000 as part of the lucky draw prizes. And if that’s not enough, there will be live entertainment after lunch so you can enjoy a leisurley day in the sun.
