Welcome to the third edition of the unbelievable and now infamous Nashua Mobile Ladies MTB Day taking place on Saturday the 30th of June.
The 2012 edition is now open for entries.
So girls……Kick off those stilettos and start exercising those glutes!! Here’s an exercise option with a difference – a mountain biking event designed specifically for the fairer sex – a day in fact dedicated to the ladies. For once it’s the dads that have to look after the kiddies and the moms and girlfriends who can have some fun.
Welcome to the 2012 Edition of The Nashua Mobile Ladies MTB Day, the Largest Ladies Only Mountain Biking event in the country….
If you have been part of this unbelievable experience in the past, you will know what a truly magnificent day out this is.
And now we are introducing something special for the ladies in 2012.
Over and above the 40km and 25km offering, we are now introducing a stunning 15km route, which will suit all riders of all abilities. So if the word “technical” scares you, then this is the ride to do.
Sound too good to be true? Read on ---- Imagine a day where you can ride a fun 15km, a moderate 25km or mildly challenging 40km route – a day designed for riders of all abilities. No impossible hills and jaw breaking roughs – but enough good riding to challenge yourself and stretch those limits.
Just to make sure you are on track, there will be a group of skilled volunteer “marshals” as well as the guys from The Dads Charity Challenge out there on standby to offer you tips and advice to ensure you have one of your best rides ever.
If you’re single enjoy the day with your girlfriends. If you have a significant other this does not mean he needs to stay at home! Far from it – for once he’s at the finishing line cheering you on, but before that he’s the one egging the kids on during a specially organised kiddies MTB ride.
Or, he can join in as a rider for the day, but he will have three conditions to adhere to.
-
He will pay a premium rate of R475, of which R200 will go to charity.
-
He will have to look and dress the part.
-
He will have to stop and render any assistance to any damsels in distress.
We will only accept a maximum of 50 entries in this category.
But back to the kiddies. The kiddies can then run off to the kiddies’ playground where James the Clown will be on hand to ensure they are well taken care of.
The obligatory beer tent will be set up to reward his efforts and keep him out of your hair while you enjoy a glass of bubbly, a scrumptiously healthy ladies lunch (no fatty braai wors today) and all day massages compliments of Honda and Mangwanani Spa.
Plus we will have loads of prizes up for grabs, including Trek Bikes, Thule hampers and much more.
And if that’s not enough, there will be live entertainment after lunch so you can enjoy a leisurely day in the sun.
So let’s summarise what you will get
- Firstly, at race registration, you will receive your “goodie bag”
- A choice of a fantastic 15km, 25km or 40km route
- Complimentary glass or two of bubbly at the finish
- Massages compliments of Honda and Mangwanani Spa
